We had a wonderful “Hanging of the Greens” service with music, scripture, decorating, and even laughter while we worked together to make decorating the church both fun and worshipful. Some of the songs we sang included: “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen”, “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing”, “Angels, from the Realms of Glory”, and “Emmanual”. We also had scriptures and readings that were done highlighting different symbols of the Advent season like the Advent Wreath, the Christmas tree, the Créche and more. In addition, everyone who came received a customized “Joy” ornament donated by Dough Delights in Industry.

 

Afterwards, we had a time of fellowship that included cookies, sandwiches, punch, chips, etc. If you are interested in singing the songs of Christmas or seeing a final product, join us on Sunday mornings at 10:45 a.m. or Sunday Evenings at 6:00 p.m.
